What documents do I need to get my property DTCP approved?

  3. Site Plan.
  4. Topo Plan (500 mts).
  5. Chitta, Adangal, Patta/A.Register, TSLR.

What do I do if my DTCP approval request gets rejected?
If your DTCP approval was rejected on merits, a letter expressing the grounds for such rejection, will be sent to the Local Planning Authority, the local body and to you.
If some particulars are still required you will be required to furnish such particulars within a time period after which the application can be presented again for approval. If all the documents are in order, your approval request will be granted.

How much does DTCP approval cost?

The cost of DTCP approval ranges between Rs. 113 and Rs 750 per square metre. The cost of DTCP can also vary depending on the size, type, and location of the plot.

Will RTI Act be applicable to DTCP?
Yes. the RTI Act is applicable to DTCP. One can file an RTI application to the Directorate of Town and Country Planning (DTCP), Tamil Nadu. DTCP is a “Public Authority” as per Section 2 (h) of the RTI Act 2005 and comes under its ambit. One can file RTI to DTCP by addressing the application to the designated “Public Information Officer (PIO)” of the concerned Department of DTCP and by paying the prescribed fee.
